In the basement of the Royal Institution’s Grand building are the contents of the chemist and physicist Michael Faraday’s laboratory. His discoveries changed the way we see the world, for example, the force of electricity and that heat is a form of motion. Amongst the apparatus and early scientific instruments is the first electrical battery. The visitor can see how science was first made.
